With Music

The interplay of words and music opens up a space that deepens and enriches the images of a tale. Music resonates with the meaning of a story and can give my words wings. It accompanies, entices, seduces and dances. A piece of music between stories can invite you to let the last tale reverberate for a while or it opens the door into the next tale.
Usually I perform with musicians I know, we rehearse and weave together words and music creatively.
Sometimes I also perform with musicians on location without rehearsing. In that case the pieces of music are only played between stories.
By the way: An evening with music costs more, but not twice as much.

Flo Ryan:
plays 20 different instruments in total, some of which are highly unusual. Flutes are his specialty.
He was born in the year I started telling fairy tales.

Angela and/or Marco Ambrosini: play the Swedish Nyckelharpa/
keyed fiddle, an instrument with its own special story - to be told when we are invited.
